Hi! My name is Safa-Noor Mirza and I am the lead singer of our band "Girls Don't Cry".

I have always loved music and the story it tells, and the way you can tell the world your stories, thoughts and feelings. I have always been drawn to the creative arts, and found myself constantly painting and drawing or filming things, but the thing that I never ever stopped doing was singing. My parents solution to fixing the absolute racket I caused through constant singing was to buy me a speaker in the hopes that I would hear other people singing and stop, evidently this didn't work.

My top 5 artists at the moment (in no particular order because I CANNOT choose are:
Fontaines DC, Pixies, The Last Dinner Party, Beabadoobee and Mitski!

My favourite film is "The Holdovers" and my favourite tv show is "the end of the f****** world" (though honestly these are frequently changing)
Hi! My name is Isobel Khaldi and I am the guitarist of our band "Girls Don't Cry". I never really had too much of an interest in music until about year 3, when a local band came into our school and taught us a small lesson on how to play the guitar, since then I became obsessed (to the terror of my parents who now had to pay for years of guitar lessons). I remember from that point on playing the guitar at any opportunity I had (school talent contests, parties and more) until me and Safa decided to start our own band!

My top 5 artists are:
Fiona Apple, The Front Bottoms, Mitski, Boygenius and Kimya Dawson :)

My favourite film at the moment is "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" and my favourite tv show is "Inside Number 9"!!!
We decided to start making music together when we were in year 9 (so around 15 years old). We have been friends since we were 10 and our shared love of music and overlapping music tastes led us to start writing songs! It was just for fun at first but after a while of practicing we realised that we could actually make a creer out of it, and then we started off small, playing for relatives and friends at ga5therings, and slowly worked on getting more gigs until we finally wrote our breakthrough hit: "Pressure to Party"

The DEC brings together 15 leading aid charities at times of humanitarian crisis overseas
In an effort to help persuade people to donate to charities, we will be selling ribbons before our concerts, volunteers will be coming round to fans waiting in queues where you can choose to donate however much you can, and receive a ribbon of your choice in return. All proceeds will go to the DEC, who now more than ever, are needed to aid victims of humanitarian crisis. Not only this but we will be matching th eamount donated at every show, to further aid the DEC.
